State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Ateenyi has publicly endorsed a fresh directive issued by the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), reinforcing internal discipline and loyalty within the political movement aligned to Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The statement, circulated on Tuesday and addressed to Members of Parliament and outgoing Cabinet members affiliated to PLU, emphasizes strict adherence to the leadership and political direction of the movement’s chairman general, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

It warns against internal dissent and signals a tightening of organizational cohesion ahead of emerging political contests.

Balaam, who identifies within PLU structures as “Patriotic Officer 006” and National Vice Chairperson (Women), framed the directive as a reminder of unity, discipline, and ideological alignment among members.

The message places strong emphasis on loyalty to the leadership and the need for coordinated political conduct.

“The guidance and directives of Chairman General Muhoozi Kainerugaba remain central to the unity and direction of our movement,” the statement reads.

“As disciplined patriots, we are expected to uphold unwavering loyalty, respect, and full commitment to the vision and principles he articulates as our leader.”

It further outlines the ideological foundation of PLU, listing patriotism, discipline, accountability, national unity, and service to the state as its guiding values.

Members are urged to avoid any conduct seen as contradictory to the movement’s collective position.

“The Patriotic League of Uganda stands firmly on the values of patriotism, discipline, accountability, national unity, and dedicated service to the Republic of Uganda,” the message states.

“In this regard, all members and supporters are urged to remain focused, coordinated, and consistently aligned with the collective guidance and strategic direction of the leadership.”

The statement takes a firmer tone when addressing internal disagreements, warning that deviation from agreed positions would not be tolerated within the movement’s framework.

“Any conduct or posture that undermines, contradicts, or deliberately distances itself from the shared direction, discipline, and code of conduct of PLU is inconsistent with the spirit and cohesion of the movement,” it adds.

The message also invokes a biblical reference from Romans 13:1, reinforcing the theme of submission to authority and structured leadership within the political grouping.
