Musician Alien Skin has accused a group of self-proclaimed “mafia” operating under the banner of the ruling party’s ghetto structures of fueling violence in Kampala’s ghettos.

In a fiery statement posted on X, Alien Skin said the group, led by an unnamed figure, has been terrorizing residents and targeting his supporters.

He claimed the attacks are being disguised as ordinary music beef, but their real motive is to spark gang rivalries and destabilize communities.

“There is a group of hooligans, self-styled mafia wannabes led by a certain individual, operating under the guise of the NRM ghetto structure. They have been violently attacking our members and other residents in our ghettos, hiding their actions behind a supposed music beef. Their true aim is to incite gang warfare and disturb the peace of fellow Ugandans,” Alien Skin wrote.

The singer, who commands a massive following among urban youth, said his camp has chosen peace, but members are consistently victimized and wrongly accused when they attempt to defend themselves.

Alien Skin is now demanding urgent intervention from the Uganda Police Force and other security agencies.

He warned that if no action is taken within 48 hours, he and his team will be “forced to escalate” the matter, though he did not reveal what steps they plan to take.

The allegations raise fresh questions about the involvement of political structures in ghetto conflicts, with critics warning that failure to address the issue could plunge the youth into violent confrontations.
