Senior leaders of Uganda’s Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) on Saturday joined family, colleagues, and residents of the Teso Sub-region to mourn the late Hon. Apolot Stella Isodo, the former Woman Member of Parliament for Ngora District.

The FDC Party president, Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi, and the party’s Secretary General and former presidential candidate, Rt. Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, led the delegation attending her final send-off ceremony at her home in Ngora.

The requiem service, which drew mourners from across the region, marked the last public farewell to a politician remembered for her service and commitment to party ideals.

Family members, friends, fellow politicians, and community leaders gathered early as prayers and tributes were offered in her honour.

Speakers described Hon. Isodo as a disciplined party cadre who dedicated her political life to representing women and advocating for the welfare of ordinary citizens in Ngora and the wider Teso Sub-region.

Addressing mourners, FDC leaders conveyed the party’s condolences to the bereaved family and praised Isodo’s contribution to multiparty politics in Uganda.

They noted that her tenure as Ngora District Woman MP was characterised by grassroots engagement and consistent participation in party activities, even after leaving elective office.

The FDC Party said it stood in solidarity with the people of Ngora during what it termed a moment of deep loss.

Hon. Apolot Stella Isodo was laid to rest at her home following the service.
