The State Minister for Local Government Justine Nameere has celebrated President Yoweri Museveni on his birthday, praising him for what she described as his leadership and contribution to Uganda, Africa and the East African region.
In a message shared to mark the occasion, Nameere described Museveni as a fatherly leader whose approach to leadership embraces people across different generations and backgrounds.
“A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR DEAR PRESIDENT!” Nameere said, extending her birthday wishes to Museveni and describing him as “a stately man” and “a fatherly leader whose heart embraces all.”
Nameere also highlighted what she considers to be Museveni’s contribution to women, youth and older citizens, portraying the president as a leader who has provided guidance and support to different sections of society.
“A true champion of women emancipation, a wise guide to the youth, a trusted pillar to the elders, and a sincere friend to all nations,” she said.
The minister further used titles associated with Museveni’s political image in Uganda and the wider region, describing him as “Jjaja wa Bazzukulu,” a Luganda expression commonly rendered as “Grandfather of the Grandchildren.”
She also referred to him as the “Father of the Nation” and “Father of the East African Region,” while describing him as a patron of Africa.
“He is Jjaja wa Bazzukulu, the Father of the Nation, the Father of the East African Region, and the Patron of Africa,” Nameere stated.
Her message comes as government officials and supporters continue to publicly celebrate Museveni’s leadership and political career. Museveni, who has been Uganda’s president since 1986, remains one of the continent’s longest-serving heads of state.
Nameere concluded her birthday tribute by portraying Museveni’s leadership as a source of national and continental significance.
“A blessing to Uganda, a gift to Africa. We celebrate you, Your Excellency! Happy Birthday Mzee!” she said.
