Next Media CEO Applauds Journalists After Extensive Election Coverage

Next Media CEO Kin Kariisa has publicly commended his team for their exhaustive coverage of Thursday’s national elections, highlighting the critical role journalists played in keeping Ugandans and the diaspora informed.


In a statement on X, Kariisa praised bureau chiefs, correspondents, and partner stringers deployed across all 146 districts for working tirelessly for over 48 hours. 


He emphasized their adept use of technology to deliver timely and clear broadcasts during a period of heightened public interest.


“To our bureau chiefs, correspondents and United Media partner stringers… thank you. You carried the load, used our technology expertly, and delivered clear, timely broadcasts for Uganda and the diaspora when the country needed them most,” Kariisa wrote.


He also acknowledged the efforts of staff at Next Media Park, expressing pride in their dedication and professionalism. 


The CEO extended his gratitude to viewers for their engagement and feedback, underscoring the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.


“Even bigger outputs are within reach,” Kariisa added, signaling Next Media’s ambition to expand and enhance its news delivery in the future.
