Baliza William, a TikToker from Kawempe, has been reported missing following an alleged abduction said to have taken place on 10 February.
The incident has been made public through statements shared by National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya.
Rubongoya stated that William was taken from Kawempe by armed individuals and has not been seen since.
He also linked the incident to William’s father, Baliza Emmanuel, claiming that he was initially picked up before being forced to provide information about his son.
In a detailed post, Rubongoya said: “Interacted this morning with Mr. Baliza Emmanuel, the father of Baliza William, a young man who was abducted on 10th February and has been missing since. On that day, armed operatives picked him up in a drone, which he says was full of guns, pliers, solido wires, iron bars, etc.
He was asked to reveal the whereabouts of his son, or else he faces consequences. He did and was told the young man was posting anti-government content on tiktok. He has since moved everywhere looking for the son without success!”
William is known as a TikTok content creator whose videos attracted attention from online users in Uganda.
His disappearance has been widely circulated on social media platforms following the claims made by Rubongoya and other political-linked accounts.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and no official confirmation has been issued by security agencies regarding the reported abduction or the circumstances described in the social media statements.
Kawempe, where William is said to have been taken, is a division of Kampala that has previously been referenced in public discussions involving security operations and arrests, although no official link has been established to the current case.
As of now, there has been no detailed response from police or military authorities addressing the claims raised in relation to William and his father.
