The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has reportedly awarded renowned media consultant and researcher Dr Joel Isabirye the contract to establish and operationalise its planned radio station following a competitive procurement process that attracted multiple bidders.

According to information from KCCA, a total of nine media service providers submitted bids for the highly anticipated project. After a comprehensive evaluation process, Dr Isabirye emerged as the best evaluated bidder, earning the opportunity to spearhead the development of what is expected to become one of the Authority's most important public communication platforms.

The planned radio station forms part of KCCA's broader strategy to strengthen communication between the city authority and residents of Kampala.
