Former Leader of Opposition in Uganda’s Parliament, Hon. Winnie Kiiza, has warned Ugandans to reject the growing culture of political dynasties.

Speaking on Friday in Kampala, Kiiza said the country risks losing true democracy if leadership continues to be treated like an inheritance.

“Leadership is not a family heirloom,” Kiiza said.

“Ugandans must be free to choose leaders based on their ability and vision, not on family names or bloodlines.”

Kiiza explained that many powerful families in Uganda are grooming their children to take over political positions. She argued that this trend denies opportunities to talented young people who want to bring fresh ideas and solutions to the nation’s problems.

“When politics becomes a family business, capable leaders are locked out,” she added.

The former opposition leader called on the youth to take an active role in shaping Uganda’s political future instead of watching from the sidelines.GET FULL STORY HERE.
