The uproar began when General Muhoozi posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“If it wasn’t for my father, Besigye would have been buried a long time ago.” Many people saw this as a clear threat to Dr. Besigye’s life.
Winnie Byanyima responded quickly, saying she does not take such words lightly.
She wrote: “The head of Uganda’s army, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and son of President Kaguta Museveni, is openly admitting that they have discussed killing my husband, Kizza Besigye.
