President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda recently launched a major road project in Kampala, but instead of praise, he received heavy criticism from many Ugandans.

The event, held at the Clock Tower (Ssaawa ya Kwiini), was supposed to show Uganda’s development through the launch of Lot 1 of the Kampala Flyover Project. However, the response from the public was not what the government expected.

Soon after the event, social media was flooded with angry comments from citizens. Many Ugandans said that building roads and flyovers is not enough. They feel that the government is ignoring more serious problems such as high unemployment, poor healthcare, expensive living costs, and corruption.

“We need jobs, not flyovers!” one frustrated Ugandan posted online. Another person added, “The government loves to launch big projects, but they forget to solve real problems. People are suffering every day.” GET FULL STORY HERE.
