National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has praised the residents of Mityana for their resilience following a campaign rally held on Monday.
Addressing supporters on X, Bobi Wine commended the community for turning out in large numbers despite facing intimidation and what he described as unprovoked violence.
“Thank you, the great people of Mityana. You resisted the intimidation and unprovoked violence and turned up in massive numbers to receive the message of change,” he said.
The NUP leader emphasized that the rally was part of the party’s ongoing efforts to mobilize citizens in preparation for the upcoming elections.
He framed the gathering as a step toward broader political freedom and civic empowerment.
