National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has urged Ugandans to continue mobilizing voters ahead of the official closure of campaigns next week.

Speaking on Saturday, Kyagulanyi praised the overwhelming response to the party’s “phone call day,” noting that supporters had effectively extended it into a “phone call season.”

“We are very grateful to everyone who continues to make those phone calls, trying to reach the last voter,” he said.

He emphasized that the campaign remains active and encouraged party members and supporters to use the remaining days to ensure maximum voter turnout.

“If you haven’t, make those phone calls today! Remind our people to turn up and vote for #ANewUgandaNow,” Kyagulanyi added.

The NUP leader’s comments highlight the party’s focus on grassroots mobilization in the final days of campaigning.

By reaching out directly to potential voters, the party seeks to consolidate support, particularly among younger voters and urban constituencies who are considered crucial for the upcoming elections.

Analysts note that Kyagulanyi’s strategy reflects a broader push by opposition parties in Uganda to counter the long-standing dominance of the ruling party through sustained voter engagement.

The reminder to supporters underscores the urgency as the campaign period enters its final phase, with official activities set to conclude on Tuesday.

With just days remaining, NUP’s push for direct voter contact demonstrates the party’s determination to maximize turnout and strengthen its message of political change under the banner of #ANewUgandaNow.
