National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Rubongoya marked his 38th birthday on Tuesday, using the occasion to reflect on personal growth and mobilize support for his party ahead of next week’s elections.
In a post on X, Rubongoya expressed gratitude to God and to those who have influenced his journey, writing, “I make 38 today and I am grateful to God for every blessing. Grateful to every good person that I've met along the way. Every challenge has been a lesson. Every opportunity has been a step.”
Rubongoya, a key strategist behind NUP’s political operations, also appealed to the public to back the party in the upcoming polls.
“The best gift you can give me for my birthday is to vote Bobiwine and all NUP candidates next week!” he added, highlighting the party’s continued push for electoral success across Uganda.
Since joining the political scene, Rubongoya has played a pivotal role in shaping NUP’s campaigns, especially supporting the presidential bid of party leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine.
His birthday message comes at a critical moment as NUP ramps up its outreach to voters amid heightened political competition.
Rubongoya’s 38th birthday thus doubled as both a personal milestone and a call to action for NUP supporters nationwide.
