“House of Cards”: Museveni’s New Cabinet Faces Turmoil as Analyst Predicts Multiple Revisions

Political analyst David Soita Masinde has cast doubt on the stability of the newly unveiled cabinet by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, warning that the list could be subject to multiple revisions amid internal power struggles.

In a statement, Masinde claimed the cabinet announced for the 12th Parliament is already facing turbulence behind the scenes, with influential figures allegedly pushing for changes even before the structure settles.

“The 12th parliament’s newly announced cabinet is a total house of cards built on a foundation of lies,” Masinde said. “We are witnessing absolute, unadulterated chaos behind closed doors right now.”

According to the analyst, the situation within government circles is fluid, with shifting alliances and competing interests driving uncertainty around the appointments.

He suggested that the list released to the public may not reflect the final composition of the government.

“This list isn't a final governance structure; it's a revolving door of sheer desperation that will be rewritten up to seven times before the dust even settles,” he claimed.

Masinde also took aim at public reactions to the appointments, particularly those celebrating their inclusion in the cabinet. He warned that some individuals may not retain their positions long enough to assume office.

“To the fools posting celebratory messages and praising leadership on social media: you are being used as temporary propaganda tools,” he said. “Tomorrow, the latest cabinet revision list drops, and your name will be completely wiped from existence.”

He advised newly appointed ministers to exercise caution, especially in how they respond to their appointments, including avoiding unnecessary spending on celebrations.

“My urgent advice to these naive new ministers is simple: go slow. Do not throw away your hard-earned money on useless victory parties,” Masinde added. “Save that cash for your children's school fees, because your government paycheck is never coming.”

The remarks come amid ongoing debate surrounding President Museveni’s cabinet selections, which often attract scrutiny over political balancing and internal party dynamics
