Kasambya County Member of Parliament David Kabanda has been sworn in for a second term, promising to serve his constituents with dedication as he returns to Parliament.
Speaking after taking the oath of office, Kabanda thanked God and the voters of Kasambya for giving him another opportunity to represent them.
He described his re-election as a responsibility he intends to handle with commitment and accountability.
“I have taken the oath of office for the second time as Member of Parliament for Kasambya County. I thank the Almighty God for enabling me to reach this point once again,” Kabanda said.
He expressed gratitude to residents of Kasambya County, saying their support reflects trust in his leadership.
The MP noted that he remains focused on delivering on his mandate and representing their interests effectively.
“To the people of Kasambya, thank you for entrusting me with another chance to represent you in Parliament. I do not take your confidence lightly, and I remain committed to serving you with dedication and integrity,” he added.
Kabanda also used the moment to acknowledge the role of political support in his re-election.
He singled out Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, thanking him for what he described as consistent backing and endorsement.
“To my leader, Gen. Kainerugaba, I am forever grateful for your unwavering support and endorsement. May God bless you all, and guide us on this journey ahead of us,” he said.
His remarks highlight the influence of political alliances in Uganda’s electoral process, where endorsements often shape campaigns and outcomes.
