Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja marked her reappointment with a celebratory event at her office, where she joined staff in a moment of appreciation, reflection, and renewed commitment to government service.
The gathering followed her retention in the 2026–2031 Cabinet by President Yoweri Museveni, a move later approved by Parliament.
Nabbanja, who also serves as Leader of Government Business, used the occasion to thank her team for their support during her first term in office.
In a statement shared during the celebration, Nabbanja expressed gratitude to her staff, noting their role in ensuring the smooth running of government operations over the past five years.
She acknowledged their dedication and cooperation in supporting both her office and Cabinet colleagues.
“I thank the staff in my office for congratulating me on my reappointment as Prime Minister and Leader of Government Business,” she said.
“I appreciate them for supporting me and my colleagues over the last five years, and I look forward to continuing to work with them to serve Uganda and advance the Government’s socioeconomic transformation agenda,” she added.
The event took on a festive tone as Nabbanja cut a celebratory cake alongside her staff. The gathering was further marked by singing and dancing, reflecting a relaxed atmosphere rarely seen in official government settings.
Staff members were seen applauding and joining in the celebrations, underscoring a sense of unity within the Prime Minister’s office.
Her reappointment comes at a time when the government is entering a new phase under the 2026–2031 administration, with expectations of continuity in policy implementation and service delivery.

Nabbanja has been a key figure in coordinating government business in Parliament and overseeing the execution of Cabinet decisions.
As ministers prepare to assume office following their swearing-in at State House, Entebbe, attention now shifts to how the new Cabinet will deliver on its agenda.
For Nabbanja, the celebrations signal both a moment of recognition and the beginning of another term defined by administrative coordination and policy execution.
