Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced a tough new directive targeting Turkish nationals living and working in Uganda without valid immigration documents, saying authorities will begin arresting those found to be in violation of the country's immigration laws.
In a series of posts shared on his official X account, Muhoozi said the planned enforcement operation would begin next week and would apply across the entire country without exception.
"From next week any Turk without a valid working permit will be arrested! Anywhere in Uganda," Muhoozi stated. The CDF also issued what he described as a final deadline for undocumented Turkish nationals to leave Uganda voluntarily before enforcement measures intensify. GET FULL STORY HERE.
