KAMPALA, Uganda — Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi has claimed that there are efforts to implicate him in a terrorism-related case, alleging that the move is connected to recent remarks and actions involving Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Speaking publicly and through his social media platforms, Ssenyonyi said he had received information suggesting that his name could be added to a terrorism case file reportedly linked to investigations in Butambala District. The opposition leader argued that the alleged move forms part of a wider campaign to intimidate critics of the government and silence dissenting voices.
According to Ssenyonyi, the reports he received indicate that security agencies may be preparing to associate him with criminal activities despite a lack of evidence. He maintained that he has never engaged in any unlawful conduct and described the allegations as politically motivated.GET FULL STORY HERE.
