Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has stirred fresh political debate after claiming that National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has been seeking assurances from President Yoweri Museveni that he will not be arrested upon his return to Uganda from the United States.
The remarks were made through a post on X, where the military chief alleged that the opposition leader had been appealing to President Museveni for protection as he prepares to travel back to the country after spending several months abroad.
According to Gen. Muhoozi, Kyagulanyi has been concerned about the possibility of being detained by authorities once he lands in Uganda. The CDF further stated that despite the alleged requests for intervention, he remains determined to have the opposition leader arrested when he returns.GET FULL STORY HERE.
