Among those who have openly challenged Bobi Wine's remarks is former presidential assistant for research and information Duncan Abigaba, who accused the opposition leader of failing to show empathy during what he described as a deeply personal family matter.
The debate began after President Museveni, while celebrating Janet Museveni’s 78th birthday, disclosed that the First Lady had suffered a critical health condition earlier this year.
