State Minister for Local Government and Masaka City Woman MP Justine Nameere has strongly defended herself following renewed online criticism tied to past allegations and personal history circulating widely on social media.

In a sharp response posted online, Nameere dismissed the claims as repetitive and outdated, arguing that her critics have failed to produce any new or substantive issues against her.

“But aren't you guys proud of the State Minister for Local Government?!” she wrote, adding that her opponents were recycling old narratives.

“Imagine nugu platoons have absolutely nothing current or at least post covid to use against me."

She further argued that the allegations being circulated do not reflect her current political and financial position, insisting that critics are relying on incidents that have long lost relevance.

“I am a straight Commander NRM Stooko Empya alooo! DO YOU GUYS SEE ANYTHING THAT HOLDS OR THAT IS NEWSWORTHY!” she added, framing the online attacks as weak and unconvincing.

The renewed controversy has largely centred on claims involving a 2015 financial dispute and personal relationships dating back several years, which have resurfaced in online discussions. Nameere dismissed these issues as recycled and exaggerated.

“They keep bleating about the same ka bad debt story of 2015, the bu hustles that any other hustler goes through!” she said, insisting such matters were part of her past struggles and no longer relevant.

She further criticised the focus on her earlier years, arguing that critics were deliberately ignoring her current status.

“Reminding a person with real money about a ka debt long ago sounds like shouting at a big artiste ‘that u were once an upcoming artist!’so childish,” she added.

Nameere also pushed back against online commentary referencing a former romantic relationship that allegedly led to legal trouble in 2019, describing the discussion as unnecessary and intrusive.

“They keep talking about an ex boyfriend that got into trouble in 2019 as if having an ex is news,” she said.

She argued that such personal matters were being unfairly weaponised against her in the current political climate.

In her response, the minister highlighted what she described as her personal and professional progress, suggesting that critics are ignoring her current achievements and assets.

“TV hosts that were harassing me in those bu hustle years are now heaping praises on me,” she said, adding that she has since built a more stable life.

“Uber stories nio nio now I have 6 cars,” she added, while also announcing plans to support community initiatives.

“I plan to donate my campaign Mini Vans to Buddu FC and to Ann Taylor's school!” she said.
