Vice President Jessica Alupo emerged top performer in a Cabinet retreat sharpshooting exercise after reportedly achieving a perfect score, according to State Minister for Local Government Balaam Ateenyi.

The exercise, described as part of leadership bonding and discipline training during the retreat, involved Cabinet members and senior officials testing basic marksmanship skills under professional instruction.

In a statement shared after the event, Balaam said the Vice President delivered a flawless performance.

“As part of the Cabinet Retreat, we participated in the Exercise Sharpshooter challenge. I am pleased to report that Her Excellency the Vice President scored an impressive 100%—all 12 bullets hit the target,” he stated.

He added that his own performance was modest, noting he was engaging in the exercise for the first time.

“As for me, I managed to hit 3 out of 10 targets, considering it was my very first time handling such an exercise. Respect to our gallant Generals and professional instructors,” he said, adding that he remained confident of improving with more practice.

The minister further revealed comparative results among participants, indicating that Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Norbert Mao also participated, though with a lower score.

“Given more opportunities to practice, I am confident my performance will greatly improve. That said, I was still ahead of many participants, including Hon. Norbert Mao, who managed one and a half targets,” he noted.

The Cabinet retreat reportedly brought together senior government officials, military instructors, and political leaders in a controlled environment designed to strengthen coordination and teamwork.

The participation of top political leaders in the exercise drew attention online, with supporters praising the event as a demonstration of discipline and preparedness among state officials.

Balaam concluded his remarks with messages of national unity and support for the country’s leadership, reaffirming commitment to what he described as efforts to build a stronger and more disciplined nation under the current administration led by President Yoweri Museveni and Chief of Defence Forces Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The Cabinet retreat is expected to continue with additional sessions focusing on governance, security coordination, and policy alignment.
