Media personality and socialite Sheilah Gashumba has publicly praised musician A Pass, describing him as one of the most disciplined and professional artists in Uganda’s music industry.

Her remarks came after she booked the singer for a performance at a weekend entertainment event at Guvnor, where she was impressed by his conduct, preparation, and live delivery on stage.

In an endorsement shared on social media, Gashumba highlighted what she termed as rare professionalism in the industry, noting that A Pass stood out not only for his talent but also for his commitment to execution.

“There’s no male Ugandan artist as professional, disciplined about his music career and talented like A Pass! I happened to book him last week for Guvnor’s Saturday night Fever,” she stated.

She added that the artist went beyond expectations in promoting the event and preparing for his set without being prompted.

“He posted and promoted the gig, did a drop for the night without any reminder. Arrived 1 hour before his performance, he came with his music technician and performed with live instrumental sounds so we can hear his voice,” she said.

Gashumba further noted that A Pass delivered a live performance that impressed both organizers and revellers, saying the audience responded positively to his stage presence and vocal control.

“Not seen something like that before! Everyone was happy and complimenting his performance! A Pass deserves his flowers. BOOK HIM!” she added.

The performance took place during the Guvnor Saturday Night Fever event, a popular nightlife experience in Kampala known for attracting high-energy crowds and featuring top-tier local DJs and performers. Guvnor Saturday Night Fever

A Pass, who has built a reputation in Uganda’s music scene for his songwriting, production input, and genre versatility, has previously been both praised and critiqued for maintaining a low-profile but consistent approach to his career.

Gashumba’s remarks add to ongoing conversations in Uganda’s entertainment industry about professionalism, pricing, and performance standards among artists, especially in live event settings.
