Prominent lawyer and former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago reported a security operation at his home on Monday morning, claiming that his residence in Wakaliga had been surrounded by drones and armed operatives before an alleged forced entry.

In a series of posts, Lukwago stated: "TWO DRONES HAVE SEALED OFF MY HOME WITH SECURITY OPERATIVES HOVERING AROUND."
He further wrote, "Am under attack at my home." In another update, he added, "I am under attack, they have jumped over the perimeter wall into my home."
The messages suggested heightened fear and urgency during the incident.
A subsequent post attributed to his social media administrator reported that the opposition figure had been taken from his home.
The statement read: "Just in: President of PFF and former Lord Mayor has been abducted now from his home after military officers jumping over his fenced home in Wakaliga. #Admin."
The update was widely circulated online, drawing attention to the unfolding claims.
Lukwago, who serves as the legal counsel to opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye and is a senior figure in the People's Front for Freedom party, has in recent years been closely associated with legal and political activism in Uganda.
The incident adds to ongoing concerns raised by opposition figures regarding the treatment of political actors and the use of security forces in civilian spaces.
