National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has responded to President Yoweri Museveni’s comments regarding a recent health scare involving First Lady Janet Museveni, sparking fresh political debate across Uganda.
The exchange follows remarks made by President Museveni during celebrations marking the First Lady’s birthday. In his message, the president revealed that Janet Museveni suffered what he described as a serious health challenge on March 21, 2026. He attributed the incident to an attack by Satan, arguing that the date carried historical significance because it coincided with a major military victory against the forces of former president Idi Amin in 1979.
