A message shared by Solomon Kyagulanyi, son of opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has drawn attention amid ongoing discussions about the politician’s time outside Uganda following reports of his departure after the recent election period.

In the post shared online, Solomon defended his father’s thinking and leadership style, suggesting that many people cannot easily predict his next move.

“I want to remind you guys that you will never know what’s going on in President Kyagulanyi Ssentamu’s head!! He’s the wisest person that I have ever met. He can think about solutions to any crazy problem on the fly! A smart person will just sit back and just trust him,” he wrote.

The statement comes as Bobi Wine confirmed that he is currently outside Uganda, saying he left the country for what he described as political engagements and consultations.

His exit followed a tense post-election period marked by heavy security presence and pressure on opposition figures, according to his camp.

Bobi Wine has maintained that his stay abroad is temporary and that he plans to return after completing his meetings.

He has also described his time away as part of efforts to strengthen his political network and engage international partners.

Solomon’s remarks appear to echo that position, presenting his father as someone who carefully plans his actions even in difficult political situations.

The post has been widely shared among supporters, many of whom see it as reassurance that the opposition leader remains active despite being away.

At the same time, the message has added to ongoing political debate in Uganda, where supporters of the government argue that opposition claims of political pressure are exaggerated and that state agencies are acting within the law.

Questions remain over when Bobi Wine will return to Uganda and what political steps he will take next. His return is being closely followed by both supporters and critics, given his central role in Uganda’s opposition politics.

For now, Solomon’s message has added a personal voice to the wider discussion, reflecting confidence within Bobi Wine’s family circle even as speculation continues over his next move.
