Hon.Kabbyanga B, a notable political figure, has shared his thoughts on Uganda's political landscape, pointing out the challenges the country faces despite decades of independence.

Speaking during interview, Hon. Kabbyanga highlighted the need for political maturity in Uganda, stressing how multi-party politics is still in its infancy.

"I believe the biggest challenge after 62 years of independence is that we've only had 34 years of multi-party politics, meaning we have yet to mature politically," said Hon. Kabbyanga.

His statement sheds light on the critical issue of political development in Uganda. Although the country has been independent for over six decades, the first three decades were dominated by one-party systems and military rule.

It wasn’t until 1995 that Uganda adopted a constitution allowing for multi-party politics. This shift, while significant, remains a work in progress, according to Hon. Kabbyanga.

"Our democracy is young, and as a nation, we need to work harder to understand what true multi-party politics means. It’s not just about parties but about building systems and fostering accountability," he added. GET FULL STORY HERE.
